BIRDIE version 2.10 for Windows

Birdie 3 is an event-based program that will accept data from a GEDCOM or CSV file, and provides tools for filtering, searching, sorting, printing, saving (as .CSV or .GED) and mapping to either county or parish maps. A map of the UK and its counties is provided with the basic program: additional parish maps/lookup tables will be made available as plug-ins on a county-by-county basis. The 2% UK 1851 Census Viewer and Mapper lets you search any and all counties in the UK and Antrim on over 500,000 individuals living here in 1851. Results of any search can be mapped by place of birth or census, and all individuals in the result set can be viewed with all their details 'as enumerated'. All results, maps and graphs can be printed or saved to file.

 This CD-ROM contains a database and search engine for over 123,000 entries from the Pigot's 1830 Directory of DUR and NBL each of which is linked to a scrollable, printable facsimile of the original Directory entry. Buckinghamshire Posse Comitatus, 1798, version 2.10

The Posse Comitatus database and mapper contains nearly 27,000 names of men in Buckinghamshire in 1798 between the ages of 16 and 60 with their occupation, abode, and comments (if any). Advanced searches can be made on this database and the results both mapped and printed. Click on the link to the left for a screen shot and full list of program features.

RTF Wizard for the 1881 British census on CD-ROM v 1.10

The LDS (Mormon) Church's release of the 1881 British census on a 24 CD-ROM set was a major event in genealogical computing. Unfortunately the only format in which events can be fully exported is as a Rich Text Format (.RTF) file for use in word processors. The RTF Wizard converts these RTF files into GEDCOM, .DBF, .DB and .TXT (Comma separated variable) files that can be used in any spreadsheet, database or family history program. Value of the pound, v 3.10 1600-1999

 The Value of the pound program takes any sterling value between 1600 and 1999 and show what it could purchase at any other date in that range. A price index graph between the two dates is automatically drawn. British Date Calculator, 1000-2050 v.2.10

The British Date Calculator calculates the day of the week for any date from 1000 to 2050 A.D. as used in Britain and its colonies, including the US. It generates the dates of Easter, British censuses, Today's date, English Regnal years, 97 fixed and variable religious feasts, and Quarter days.

Two separate dates can be entered and the difference between them calculated. Click on the link to the left for a screen shot and full list of program features.

Easter and Lent

ANSEL to Text

The ANSEL to Text is a Freeware program for W9x and above. The program converts any ANSEL (American National Standard for Extended Latin) text file into an ASCII, MSDOS code page 437 English, or Windows character set text file. Transcend

Transcend (Transcription of Census Data is a Freeware program for W9x and above. The program is a tool for use in census transcription projects for 19th century English and Welsh county censuses, although it can also be used for creating indexes to smaller areas.
